Michael LeBlanc, DDS

Michael LeBlanc, originally from El Paso, Texas, received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Dentistry in 2003. Upon graduation, Dr. LeBlanc completed a two-year pediatric dental residency at Children’s Mercy Hospital.

Dr. LeBlanc was very active in dental school, both academically and clinically. In 2003 he received the distinct Pierre Fauchard Award for clinical excellence as well as the prestigious Arthur Iwerson Award for excellence in pediatric dentistry. Throughout his career, he has continued to be active in the dental community. He is board-certified, a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, former president of the local dental society, as well as a former chair of the New Dentist Committee. Currently, Dr. LeBlanc is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, a member of the American Dental Association, and a member of the Kansas Dental Association. He is fluent in Spanish and has volunteered for various dental missions in Venezuela and Mexico. Locally, he has participated in volunteer events for the Team Smile organization and the Kansas Special Olympics.

Dr. LeBlanc is married to his high school sweetheart, Elizabeth. Together they stay busy with their daughter Mia and son Aidan.

Stefanie Dorsey, DMD portrait.

Stefanie Dorsey, DMD

Dr. Stefanie Dorsey grew up in a Northwest suburb of Chicago, Illinois. She attended University of Illinois Champaign Urbana and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Cellular Biology. She later pursed her Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree at University of Southern Illinois School of Dental Medicine. Following the completion of her DMD, she completed a two-year pediatric residency at Children’s Mercy Hospital and is now a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist.

Dr. Dorsey believes her biggest strength in dentistry is listening to her patients and earning their trust to encourage a positive and fun experience in the dental office. As a member of the LeBlanc and Associates team, Dr. Dorsey strives to make a beloved dental home for all. When Dr. Dorsey isn’t caring for her patients, she is spending time with her Fiancé, traveling to new places, and spoiling her dog, Barnum.

Sara Crow, DDS

Dr. Sara Crow grew up in Southeast Missouri. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri – Columbia and her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Dentistry. Upon discovering her love for working with children, she completed a two-year Pediatric Dental Residency program at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan in Detroit where she was chosen to serve as Chief Resident. Dr. Crow is a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. and a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, and Kansas Dental Association.

Dr. Crow is passionate about excellent patient care and cultivating a positive and fun dental experience for everyone. She often volunteers for community outreach programs, such as Team Smile, and has participated in dental mission trips in Mexico and Zambia. Dr. Crow is excited to bring her experience and knowledge with Pediatric Dentistry to the Leblanc and Associates team! When Dr. Crow isn’t caring for her patients, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Aaron, their two daughters, and their mini poodle.

Alison Wehde, DDS portrait.

Alison Wehde, DDS

Dr. Alison Wehde grew up in Sioux City, Iowa. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Kansas, and attended the University of Iowa College of Dentistry where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Alison then went on to serve in the United States Navy as a general dentist for 5 years. While serving our country, she earned the President’s Volunteer Service Medal for her work with youth sports and community outreach. Dr. Alison was stationed across the country and world. She served our troops in Washington D.C, Japan, and San Diego. Upon completion of her service, she attended the Children’s Hospital Colorado where she graduated with a certificate in pediatric dentistry.

Dr. Alison has a passion for working with children, as well as individuals with special healthcare needs. This passion was inspired by her mother who has dedicated her life to teaching children with special needs. Dr. Alison prides herself on getting to know each of her patients and focuses on individualized care in hopes of leading to a more positive dental experience.

When Dr. Alison is not treating kids in the office, you can find her at a local coffee shop, fitness class, or traveling. She is also a huge KU and KC sports fan.

Mary Le, DDS

Dr. Mary Le grew up in the Kansas City area until dental school. She then moved to California for postdoctoral residency. After 18 years of California, she and her husband decided to return to Kansas City to raise their family.

Dr. Mary Le has been a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry for over 15 years. She graduated from the six-year B.A./D.D.S program at UMKC in 2000. She attended the Pediatric Dental Residency program at University of California-San Francisco and was chosen Chief Resident in her last year. She graduated in 2003 with a both a clinical certificate in pediatric dentistry and a Master’s degree in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences. Her passion is in Minimally Invasive Pediatric Dentistry (ART treatment, Hall crowns). She has personal experience with high-needs children providing her with understanding for the parent and child.

Dr. Le is overjoyed to be working with LeBlanc & Associates team due to their mission to ensure every child has access and opportunity to excellent dental care.

Jenny Truong, DMD portrait.

Jenny Truong, DMD

Dr. Jenny Truong grew up in Southern California with two younger brothers. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics at the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Truong developed a passion for dentistry after participating in a research project in an oral microbiology lab at UCLA and volunteering on a medical/dental mission trip to remote villages in northern Vietnam. She then moved to Boston, Massachusetts to complete her dental school training at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. After discovering a love for pediatric dentistry during her time in dental school, she then completed her two-year pediatric residency at the NYU Langone Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry in Holyoke, Massachusetts. 

Dr. Truong believes in the power of preventative dentistry and that getting children to start taking care of their teeth at an early age will help them keep a smile for a lifetime. In her free time, Dr. Truong likes to travel, hike, paint, and play video games with her friends and family. 

Grant Gillett, DMD

Dr. Grant Gillett grew up in Overland Park, Kansas, and knew from an early age that he wanted to be a dentist. He loves science and art, and found dentistry to be the perfect combination of both. He earned his Bachelor’s in Biology from the University of Missouri – Kansas City. He then relocated to Glendale, Arizona, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine. After living in Arizona and North Carolina for a number of years, he is excited to be back in his native Kansas City. (Go Chiefs and Royals!)

Dr. Gillett enjoys working with patients of all ages, but he is especially passionate about providing care for children and loves the upbeat and energetic environment at LeBlanc and Associates! His favorite appointments are those where kids who are afraid of seeing the dentist leave happy, comfortable, and can’t wait to return! Dr. Gillett has participated in multiple international dental mission trips and has a heart for reaching underrepresented communities with dental care. His primary focus is ensuring every kid has a positive experience at the dentist and is able to establish good oral hygiene habits for life. As a fluent Spanish speaker, he also loves seeing and taking care of Spanish speaking families. Dr. Gillett had the opportunity to live in and travel to many Spanish speaking countries, including a semester studying at the University of Granada in Spain. Dr. Gillett also loves seeing patients with special needs and high dental anxiety and he strives to create a relaxing and safe environment for every child.

When not seeing patients, Dr. Gillett can usually be found outdoors – biking, gardening, playing pickleball, or gathered around a bonfire with family and friends. He and his wife, Emily, also enjoy traveling together and exploring local coffee shops.

Bryan Henrie, DDS portrait.

Bryan Henrie, DDS

Dr. Bryan Henrie grew up in Leawood, Kansas and Atlanta, Georgia. After 7 years of practicing as an attorney, an exciting career change took him to the University of Utah, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. Upon discovering his passion for helping children, he then completed a Pediatric Dental Residency at the University of Minnesota.

Fluent in Spanish and an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Henrie has participated in multiple international dental trips, including two trips to Mexico that he organized through his charitable organization. His favorite part of pediatric dentistry is connecting with his patients, and he believes that keeping kids healthy is the BEST job ever.

Dr. Henrie has been a dedicated Chiefs, Royals, and Jayhawks fan his whole life, which makes his return to the Kansas City area even more exciting. In his free time, he enjoys hiking and biking with his four children.

Andrew Medlin, DDS

Dr. Andrew is super excited to return to KC! He grew up north of the river and stayed local for most of his life. He graduated from Rockhurst High School in 2005 and then Rockhurst University in 2009. He knew he wanted to be a dentist early in life, having been inspired by several family members. He graduated with honors from Creighton University School of Dentistry in 2013. After dental school, Dr. Andrew and his wife returned to KC to start their careers. He has always been passionate about service and giving back to the community, so he worked in public health for several years, caring for both adults and children. During his time in public health, he found his true life-calling working with exclusively with pediatrics!

Dr. Andrew completed his two-year pediatric dental residency at the University of Minnesota. While in residency, he was also fellow in the Minnesota LEND program (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities) during his first year. And in his second year of residency, he was named Chief Resident.

Dr. Andrew is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, as well as the American Dental Association. He is also very involved in Kansas oral health advocacy, helping to improve the access to care for all children. He has a foundational belief in providing quality, safety, and comfort for every child at every visit. As a clinician and father, he knows it’s important to tailor treatment based on the child’s needs and family expectations while staying grounded in the established AAPD best practices.

When not in clinic, Dr. Andrew looks forward to family time with his wife and three young children. He is a life-long fan of the Chiefs, Royals, and Jayhawks. With his limited free time, he enjoys woodworking, travel, and cooking at home.
